Job Title: Special Needs Teaching Assistant
Location: Harrow, North West London

Salary: 90 - 110 per day (PAYE, DOE)
Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a dedicated Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join a Primary School in Harrow from September 2025, supporting children in their Additional Resource Provision (ARP).
This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about inclusive education and supporting pupils with a range of needs, particularly ASD, ADHD and SEMH.
The Role
As an SEND Teaching Assistant within the ARP, you will be based in a supportive provision attached to a mainstream primary school. Your responsibilities will include:
Responsibilities
* Supporting pupils with SEND on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
* Helping children access the curriculum through adapted learning and tailored interventions
* Working closely with class teachers to deliver behaviour and learning support strategies
* Encouraging independence, social interaction and confidence in pupils
* Creating a positive, structured and nurturing learning environment
What We're Looking For
* Experience working with children with SEND, ideally in a school, ARP or specialist provision
* A proactive, enthusiastic and patient personality
* Strong teamwork and communication skills to work alongside teachers and SEN staff
* Understanding of autism, ADHD, and social, emotional or behavioural needs
* Team Teach or equivalent behaviour training is desirable but not essential
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
