Visitor Experience Crew This is a Grant Funded Opportunity Trailblazer/Young Persons Guarantee, Liverpool Resident position for young people aged 18-24, NEET (Not in employment or education) and is a Liverpool Resident if aged 18-21 At the British Music Experience, our crew really do make the difference. We’re looking for people who are confident, enthusiastic and who love talking about music to come and join us. You’ll receive comprehensive training and support to engage with visitors across all areas of the BME, with focus on our café locations, and provide support for events. This is a varied, people-focused role ideal for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic cultural environment and has a genuine interest in music and visitor engagement. In this fixed-term role you will support us in the smooth running of the Museum, ensuring a quality experience for guests across the entire experience. We will support you through an extensive orientation, shadowing and training programme. Our crew earn national minimum wage, depending on age. You will have a 6 month fixed-term contract, working a minimum of 32 hours per week. You’ll work across all areas of the museum with a focus on our café locations. We have opportunities for our crew to learn and develop across other areas of the business, including events and education. Key Responsibilities Deliver an outstanding visitor experience at all times Train in preparing and serving hot and cold beverages as a café barista Engage confidently and appropriately with guests from a wide range of backgrounds Take a proactive approach to learning about BME’s exhibits and sharing knowledge with visitors Support the preparation of the museum for opening, including carrying out safety checks Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation, including pre-opening and post-closing cleaning Ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of visitors at all times Assist guests with access needs or special requirements Support museum evacuations or emergency procedures when required Operate the EPOS system and process transactions accurately and efficiently • Be flexible and adaptable, working across all areas of the museum as needed (training provided) Support the Duty Manager in the day-to-day operation of the museum Be flexible with working hours, including evenings and out-of-hours events when required Closing date 13/03/2026hours You will have a 6 month fixed-term contract, working a minimum of 32 hours per week.
