Bulgarian Interpreter and Translator (Docaster)
We are urgently recruiting freelance Bulgarian interpreters and translators based in Docaster to work within various settings such as the NHS, Local Authorities, Police, Probation and other public and private organisations. This is a self‑employed position that offers flexible hours with competitive rates.
Responsibilities
* Interpret for people using legal, health and local government services
* Check the non-English speakers understanding after each sentence
* Provide conference, consecutive and public-service interpreting
* Deal with highly confidential information
* Liaise between the service user and service provider
Requirements
* Fluent in English and another language
* All applicants must have the right to work in the UK
* Must be aged 21 or over
* Formal qualifications such as:
o Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI)
o Community Interpreting
o NRPSI, CIOL, ITI registered is advantageous
o Degree in Translation/Interpreting/Languages
o Any other interpreting related qualification
