Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering (Machinist)
1. 📍 Location: Selby College
2. ⏳ Hours: 37 hours per week
3. đź’° Salary: ÂŁ35,117 to ÂŁ44,704 per annum for an exceptional candidate. This includes a 10% recruitment incentive
We have a fantastic opportunity for a skilled and experienced Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering (Machinist) to join our Engineering department, where you will deliver both practical and theoretical sessions across a range of engineering units.
You will have a strong understanding of machining processes, mechanical assembly, hand fitting techniques and the maintenance of mechanical equipment. You should also be confident in teaching topics such as general turning, milling, and welding applications, as well as supporting learners in understanding technical information, working safely and developing efficient working practices.

âś… Confident in delivering high quality, industry relevant training.
Essential Requirements:
âś” Hold a Level 3 qualification in Mechanical Engineering
âś” Have experience in a relevant industry and/or educational setting
âś” Have practical skills and theoretical knowledge of Mechanical Engineering
âś” Hold GCSE A*- C / 9 - 4 in English and Maths or equivalent
An IQA qualification is desirable but not essential
