Role: Finance Officer as part of the halow project, a charity providing support to adults with learning disabilities.
Location: Our head office is based in central Guildford where this role will be based (hybrid working available).
Hours: Mon-Fri, 37.5 hours pw
Salary: £30,000
Annual Leave: 33 days, inclusive of bank holidays.
Training: You will receive fully paid training supplementing any previously completed relevant training, with further development opportunities also available to progress your role and career.
You will be responsible for:
* Handling all company expenses.
* Issuing monthly invoices and statements.
* Making cash and cheque deposits if required.
* Performing daily bank reconciliations.
* Maintaining the fixed assets register
* Supporting tasks such as credit control, month end journaling and archiving.
* Liaising with Fundraising team to ensure grants / donations are accurately recorded and monitored. Cross-referencing Excel income sheets to allocate funds to the correct coding.
* Assisting with year-end and other ad-hoc tasks if required.
Requirements
* Demonstrate experience of bookkeeping, using accounting software and working with databases.
* Excellent excel skills and attention to detail.
* (Desirable) Experience using Xero
* (Desirable) Qualification (e.g. AAT, CIMA, ACCA, etc) in accounting, bookkeeping, or related field preferred.
* Suitable references.
* Aged 18 and above.
* Right to work in the UK

- Willing to undertake an Basic DBS Check. The initial cost of the DBS application will be paid for by halow.
