An established partner school in Northampton is seeking a dedicated and visionary Assistant Headteacher – Pastoral to join their senior leadership team. This is a key strategic role for an individual with a passion for student wellbeing, behaviour, and personal development. The successful candidate will play a central part in shaping a positive, inclusive school culture where every pupil feels valued and supported.
The Role:
* Lead the school’s pastoral strategy, ensuring high standards of behaviour, attendance, and safeguarding
* Oversee the pastoral team, providing guidance, mentoring, and clear direction
* Work closely with staff, families, and external agencies to promote pupil welfare
* Contribute to whole-school leadership and strategic development
* Analyse behaviour and attendance data to inform policy and interventions
The Ideal Candidate:
* A proven pastoral leader with experience at middle or senior leadership level
* Strong understanding of safeguarding, attendance, behaviour management, and SEND
* Ability to inspire trust and build strong relationships across the school community
* Commitment to promoting student wellbeing and fostering a positive school climate
