Property Lead (Lease Advisory) - Highly-regarded retail brand (occupier-side)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an MRICS-qualified surveyor to join the property team of a major UK retail business with a nationally recognised store portfolio across the UK & Ireland.
This role would suit an individual with a strong background in lease advisory/landlord & tenant matters and retail estate management who is looking to move into, or further develop within, an in-house environment.
Working closely with an experienced and highly regarded leadership team, you will play a key role in driving value and profitability across a substantial leased portfolio of retail stores. This is not an acquisition-focused role. Instead, the position centres on lease negotiations and driving cost-saving initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead negotiations on Lease renewals, Rent reviews, Regears, Lease restructures
* Support the delivery of the wider property strategy across the UK & Ireland portfolio
* Work closely with finance teams to assess store profitability and commercial performance
* Manage relationships with landlords, agents and external consultants
* Liaise with legal teams to ensure transactions are completed efficiently
* Support wider property management and service charge processes
* Collaborate with internal teams, including shopfitting and operations
About You
* MRICS qualified
* Ideally, minimum 3–5+ years PQE
* Background in retail/commercial property or lease advisory
* Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
* Commercially minded with excellent attention to detail
* Collaborative and team-oriented personality
* Comfortable operating within a fast-paced retail environment
* Full UK driving licence required
