Role Description
The role is responsible for supporting the activities of the Quality Department throughout the entire process of delivering products to clients. This includes ensuring that all necessary certifications and compliance documents are properly obtained, reviewed, and submitted in a timely manner to meet client and regulatory requirements. You will play a key role in maintaining and improving the Quality Management System (QMS) by regularly participating in both internal and external audits, assisting in the identification of areas for improvement, and helping implement recommended changes. In addition to your quality-focused duties, you will also provide comprehensive advice and guidance on Health & Safety (H&S) matters. This entails supporting and promoting company H&S initiatives by proactively assisting in risk assessments, training, and fostering a safe workplace environment for all employees.
Key Responsibilities:
· Preparation of Quality Plans, Inspection & Test Plans and other quality related documentation, as required by Project Specifications
· Ensure suppliers are aware of all Quality requirements for the product they are supplying and implement those requirements
· Carry out inspections and audits at suppliers premises to allow progress and release of product
· Liaise with customers in Quality related activities
· Assist in the supplier selection and management process
· Assist in the management and resolution of nonconformance from suppliers, where applicable
· Review material certification, test reports and other documents pertaining to the quality of product and collating all required documents for submission to client
· Goods Inwards, in process and final inspection of product in the workshop
· In addition, you will carry out any other duties that reasonably and naturally fall within your role and which the Company deems you to be competent to undertake.
· Provide guidance in health and safety aspects and participate in H&S activities carried out by the company.
· Prepare and review Risk Assessments for tasks carried out in the workshops, as required
Key Qualifications & Skills:
· Experience of quality in an ISO 9001 manufacturing environment
· Competent in Microsoft applications
· Good communication and organisational skills
· Attention to detail
· Good time management skills – can multi-task and be time-conscious to ensure jobs are completed accurately and on time
· Microsoft packages
Desirable
· Knowledge of fabrication and machining
· Knowledge of offshore certifying authority regulations
· Knowledge of Engineering design
· CSWIP 3.1 would be fantastic
· Auditing qualification
· MRP/ERP systems, particularly Sage 200
Qualifications
· Qualification in an Engineering or Quality discipline
· NEBOSH General Certificate
