Job Opportunity
We are offering a permanent, full-time Band 6 Senior Staff Nurse/ODP position within Theatres and Endoscopy at Belford Hospital. We seek an enthusiastic, motivated, and forward-thinking nurse/ODP to join our team. The role involves delivering quality patient care and supporting patients and staff across all theatre areas, including Anaesthetics, Scrub, Recovery, and Endoscopy.
Responsibilities
1. Undertake clinical and managerial duties as workload requires.
2. Deputise for the Senior Charge Nurse in their absence.
3. Support and supervise junior staff and students on placement.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 17:30, with an on-call service providing overnight and weekend emergency cover. Participation in the on-call rota (1 in 4) is required.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential: Theatre experience. Previous Band 6 experience is desirable but not mandatory. Candidates currently working as a senior Band 5 seeking progression are encouraged to apply. Experience as an Advanced Scrub Practitioner acting as 1st or 2nd surgical assistant across various theatre specialties is also welcome.
