Staff Nurse - Juniper Ward

Are you a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) passionate about delivering high-quality care in a supportive environment? Juniper Ward at Parklands Hospital is seeking a dedicated Band 5 Staff Nurse to join our team.

Juniper Ward is an 18-bed acute inpatient unit for adults experiencing severe mental health crises, with an additional 6 Ministry of Defence (MOD) beds supporting serving personnel. We provide short-term, recovery-focused care in a safe, therapeutic setting. Our multidisciplinary team works collaboratively to promote recovery, reduce distress, and support timely discharge planning.

Main duties of the job

* Partake in clinical and management supervision and attend all developmental training sessions.
* Take charge of a ward from time to time as allocated.
* Adhere to those stipulations as defined in the NMC Code of Professional Conduct at all times.
* Exercise leadership within the service by ensuring sound organisation, good communication and relationships within the nursing team under the guidance and supervision of the Ward Manager and Nurse Team Leader.
* Inform the Ward Manager and/or Nurse Team Leaders of any specific clinical activity as appropriate.
* Partake in clinical and management supervision and attend all developmental training sessions.

Qualifications

* RMN
* Sub part 1 of the NMC Register
* Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
* Commitment to Lifelong Learning and completion of the rotational developmental programme of training.
