Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Front of House Team Member to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing excellent customer service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and hospitality, with experience in restaurant settings, and possess strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks seamlessly.
Duties
* Greet guests warmly and seat them promptly, creating a positive first impression
* Take accurate orders and serve food and beverages efficiently
* Assist with food preparation when required, maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene
* Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
* Handle payments accurately using the point-of-sale system
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including clearing tables and resetting for new guests
* Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and health standards
* Support kitchen staff with basic tasks during busy periods as needed
* Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours
Requirements
* Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
* Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
* Basic math skills for handling transactions and cash management
* Experience in food preparation or culinary roles is advantageous
* Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently
* Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor
* Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
* Willingness to learn new skills such as upselling techniques and menu knowledge

Pay: £12.21-£13.00 per hour
