The What..
The organisation is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Platform Engineering specialist with deep understanding & skills across DevOps, Site Reliability and AWS Cloud Architecture - joining an existing leadership team you would be joining as the point of reference for this area of the team while also line managing a number of Senior level Platform Engineers & DevOps Engineers.
The types of skills we would be looking for:
* Strong AWS experience (IAM, EC2, ECS, RDS, CloudWatch etc)
* Proficiency with Containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).
* Familiarity with IaC, CI/CD, Jenkins.
* Strong experience with scripting technology such as Python, Powershell & Bash.
* Automation experience with Anssible, Terraform, IaC etc.
* Ideally experience working within software engineering teams previously (Java / Javascript / Python)
From a leadership perspective you will have operated at a Technical lead level (Architect or people leader) and be comfortable taking on 6+ direct reports while also remaining hands on.
HYBRID WORKING
Our client operates a flexible working pattern with around 1-2 days a week in office - either Manchester City Centre or their office in South Manchester.
