Type: Full-time | PermanentAre you a technically strong, qualified accountant with a passion for statutory reporting and group consolidations? We're looking for a Group Financial Accountant to join our central finance team and lead the preparation of our group annual report, accounts, and disclosures.About the Role
This is a pivotal role responsible for managing the group consolidation process and leading the external audit of group accounts. You'll play a key part in acquisition accounting, fair value exercises, and ensuring compliance with evolving accounting standards. You'll also provide expert technical guidance across the finance function.Key Responsibilities
* Lead statutory accounting and reporting for consolidated group accounts
* Manage acquisition accounting and fair value exercises
* Prepare technical papers on accounting issues
* Produce consolidated financial statements and disclosure notes
* Act as finance lead for external audit of group schedules
* Ensure compliance with Charity Accounting Standards (FRS102)
* Provide technical accounting advice and support across the group
* Oversee group Corporation Tax accounting and returns
* Drive improvements in reporting and audit processes
* Support financial accounting activities across group companies
?? About You
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
* Degree-level education
* Full or Part-Qualified Accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA)
* Extensive experience in group consolidations
* Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and FRS102
* Proven experience in statutory reporting, acquisition accounting, and external audits
* Ability to explain technical concepts to senior stakeholders
