The basics: Role: Shift Manager - Production Location: near Heanor Salary: £46100 overtime = earnings of £51000 and upwards achievable. Shift: 2 days / 2 nights 4 off. Holidays/Benefits: 22 shifts of annual leave, Medicash, Cycle to work, Pension Overview: As a Shift Manager, you will lead and supervise a production team on your assigned shift, ensuring operational targets are met while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone with strong manufacturing experience, team management skills, and a passion for continuous improvement and coaching. Overview of responsibilities: - Lead, coach, and support a team of production operators and technicians. - Ensure production targets (output, quality, efficiency) are consistently achieved. - Monitor shift performance and address any operational issues promptly. - Maintain a safe working environment and ensure compliance with health & safety standards. - Conduct shift handovers and ensure clear communication across teams. - Identify opportunities to improve processes and reduce waste. - Ensure accurate completion of shift reports, production records, and KPI tracking. - Support onboarding and training of new team members. The ideal candidate Shift Manager may have some of the following, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually: - Experience in a manufacturing or production environment, ideally in a supervisory or leadership role. - Strong understanding of production processes, safety standards, and quality systems - Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills. - 5S and lean manufacturing methodology - experience Commutable from, Heanor, Ilkeston, Ripley, Alfreton, Derby, Nottingham and surrounding areas.
