Detailed job description and main responsibilities The post holder will be expected to work on his or her own initiative in accordance with the management requirements and will be responsible for the standard of their own work. Person specification Qualifications Essential criteria Good general education to include GCSE English or equivalent Desirable criteria RSA word processing or equivalent Skills and Knowledge Essential criteria Secretarial/clerical experience Desirable criteria 2 years' experience working in an acute hospital setting Personal Qualities Essential criteria Good communication skills Ability to work in a demanding, pressurised environment Ability to work with confidential information Desirable criteria Able to use own initiative.
