Non Medical Prescriber – Mental Health Clinician
NSFT is looking for a dedicated Mental Health Clinician with extensive adult community mental health knowledge, who has completed or is currently undertaking the Non‑Medical Prescribing Course.
Responsibilities
* Practice as a non‑medical prescriber (independent/supplementary prescribing) in accordance with the Trust’s non‑medical prescribing policy and protocols.
* Prescribe within one’s scope of competency and in accordance with Trust and national policies.
* After national training and a period of active prescribing as a supplementary prescriber, work as an independent non‑medical prescriber within the designated areas of clinical practice.
* Be responsible and accountable for the assessment of patients with diagnosed and undiagnosed conditions and for decisions about the clinical management required, including prescribing.
* Be accountable for accurate mental‑health clustering of all patients on caseload.
* Ensure all mental‑health clustering information is passed onto other Trust teams or services on transfer of patients.
* Maintain the accuracy and quality of mental‑health clustering activity within the team.
