The Department of Economics, Finance and Accounting (EFA) at Brunel University London is a vibrant, research-active department comprising 38 academic colleagues across accounting, finance and economics. It offers a diverse portfolio of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, including Accountancy, Accounting and Business Management, and Accounting and Finance, and is committed to research-informed, practice-oriented teaching with real-world relevance.
Role and Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality, research-informed, practice-oriented teaching and student support across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in accounting.
* Teach across a broad spectrum of accounting subjects, including financial accounting, management accounting, auditing and taxation, and apply emerging technologies and Artificial Intelligence applications in accounting and finance.
* Contribute to curriculum development, innovative teaching and assessment practices, student engagement, and recruitment activities.
* Support the vibrant academic community and foster a collaborative culture within the Department.
Qualifications and Experience
* Academic qualifications in accounting, finance, or a related discipline (equivalent PhD or MB/PhD).
* Demonstrated teaching experience at university level across multiple accounting subjects.
* Knowledge or experience in emerging technologies, AI applications, forensic accounting, sustainability accounting, or related areas.
* Strong research or practical industry experience that can be integrated into teaching.
Benefits and Compensation
* Salary: Grade 8 from £45,390 to £58,263 inclusive of London Weighting, with potential to progress to £65,236 per annum.
* Full-time, permanent contract.
