Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Analyst to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of financial planning and accounting principles. This role requires proficiency in various software tools, including SQL, Power BI, and Microsoft Excel, to support data-driven decision-making and financial reporting.
Duties
* Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to support business decisions and strategic initiatives.
* Develop and maintain financial models to forecast revenue, expenses, and profitability.
* Prepare detailed reports and presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint to communicate findings to stakeholders.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and insights for financial planning purposes.
* Utilise SQL for data extraction and manipulation to enhance reporting capabilities.
* Create dashboards in Power BI for visualisation of key performance indicators (KPIs).
* Ensure accuracy in financial reporting by performing regular reconciliations and variance analysis.
* Maintain organised documentation of financial processes and reports for audit purposes.
* Monitor and analyse financial performance, including project costs and budget variances.
* Raise and respond to company invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
* Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and dashboards for management.
* Collaborate with teams to gather financial data and provide insights for decision-making.

* Support month-end and year-end close processes.
Experience
* Proven experience as a Financial Analyst or similar role in finance or accounting.
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and data analysis tools.
* Familiarity with SQL for database querying and management is highly desirable.
* Experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence tools for data visualisation.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively under tight deadlines.
* A solid understanding of financial planning principles, accounting practices, and IT systems relevant to finance operations.
