Job Overview
We are seeking a kind, creative and empathetic Activity Coordinator to enhance the quality of life for residents in our care home.
This role plays a vital part in enhancing the quality of life of our residents by delivering meaningful, person-centred activites that support memory, identity, wellbeing and dignity. This role requires strong communication skills, creativity, and a genuine passion for supporting individuals through meaningful social engagement and therapeutic activities.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, organise and deliver a varied programme of activities for residents
* Encourage participation and adapt activities to meet individual needs and abilities
* Support residents' emotional, social and cognitive wellbeing
* Build positive relationships with residents, families, colleagues and community organisations to enhance activity programming
* Organise special events, celebrations and outings
* Keep activity records up to date and follow care home policies
About You
* Caring, enthusiastic and patient
* Creative with a genuine interest in people
* Confident communicating with older adults
* Experience in a care or activity role is desirable but not esssential
* Able to work independently and as part of a team
