Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications to patients. You will work closely with pharmacists and healthcare professionals to provide excellent patient care and support medication administration processes.
Duties
* Accurately dispense prescribed medications and ensure proper labelling in accordance with pharmacy regulations.
* Assist pharmacists in preparing and compounding medications as required.
* Provide guidance to patients regarding medication usage, side effects, and storage instructions.
* Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality is upheld at all times.
* Conduct inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and stocking medications.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimise patient care and medication management.
* Participate in training and development activities to enhance knowledge of pharmacy practices.
Requirements
* Previous experience as a Pharmacy Dispenser or in a similar role is highly desirable.
* Strong understanding of medication administration protocols and patient care practices.
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
* Proficiency in using pharmacy software systems for record keeping and dispensing processes.
* A commitment to maintaining high standards of professionalism and ethical practice within the pharmacy environment.
