Morson Edge are working with a leading multi-disciplinary consultancy to recruit an experienced Design Manager to join their Design & Advanced Technology team, delivering high-profile water infrastructure projects across the UK. The Role: You will be responsible for leading and coordinating design delivery across complex water sector projects, ensuring high-quality technical outputs while managing programme, cost, and stakeholder expectations. Working within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment, you will support both project delivery and bid activity, contributing to major UK infrastructure schemes. Key Responsibilities: Lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary engineering teams across design delivery Oversee and review technical deliverables including reports, drawings, and calculations Ensure outputs align with project scope, programme, budget, and quality standards Drive technical input across complex design packages and project stages Work closely with clients, contractors, and internal teams Support bid proposals and contribute to winning new work Mentor and support junior engineers within the team Ensure compliance with relevant design codes, standards, and CDM regulations About You: Degree qualified in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) Chartered (CEng) or Incorporated (IEng) preferred Strong experience managing design delivery within a consultancy environment Proven background in the water sector (essential) Good understanding of design standards, NEC contracts, and regulatory requirements Experience working within multi-disciplinary teams on complex infrastructure projects Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Proactive, collaborative, and able to work with minimal supervision What's on Offer: £50 – £67 per hour (Inside IR35) 12-month contract with strong likelihood of extension Hybrid working (typically 3 days office/site) Locations: Epsom, London, Peterborough, or Cambridge (flexible) Opportunity to work on major UK and international infrastructure projects Long-term project pipeline within a leading consultancy Apply Now If you're an experienced Design Manager looking to make a real impact on high-profile infrastructure projects, apply today through this advert.
