Atomic Talent has a wonderful opportunity for an experienced Quality Engineer to join a well-established engineering organisation working in the nuclear decommissioning sector. The main purpose of the role is to Drive client satisfaction and regulatory compliance by executing Assurance activities and offering essential subject matter expertise and support to the business.
The company is involved in the full project life cycle from early concept design through to manufacture and commissioning, primarily, but not exclusively for the nuclear industry.
Areas of Responsibility
* Contribute towards the maintenance of the IMS system (Agility) including licences, subscription payments, task management (feedback, failed documents, document improvements etc).
* Contribute towards the creation, delivery and review of outputs of the audit/assessment programme (internal and supply chain) ensuring requirements are considered and achieved.
* Facilitate 3rd Party audits, ensuring the organisation of appropriate stakeholders and information and ensuring that findings are closed efficiently and effectively.
* Facilitate the closure of all NCRs, ensuring that defining statement is robust, correct RCA established, appropriate evidence is available and corrective actions robust are actioned.
* Facilitate the recording and maintenance of 3rd party feedback, ensuring that data trending is shared with appropriate stakeholders.
* Contribute towards the creation and presentation of data to the Assurance Board and Management review in line with the QMS ISO standards and business needs to the Senior Leadership teams.
* Provide training to the business to ensure that quality standards are understood and achieved.
* Maintain and track KPI data as per portfolio requirements ensuring that risks and opportunities are captured and addressed.
* Complete Assurance inductions for new starters to the business
* Provide support/advice (where required) for members of the business regarding project and business quality assurance.
* Keep abreast of client, ISO, regulatory changes, ensuring changes are shared with key stakeholders within the project team and the business.
* Any other duties deemed suitable by the Assurance Portfolio Lead.

Qualifications Essential
ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems Lead
Auditor or Internal auditor (QCI and IRCA Certified)
Qualifications Desirable
ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health and safety
management system Internal Auditor (QCI and IRCA
Certified)
ISO 14001:2015 Environmental management system
Internal auditor (QCI and IRCA Certified)
Six Sigma (Yellow belt minimum)
Accredited member of CQI or working towards
Experience & Knowledge Essential
Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a quality role within the Nuclear industry
Experience of working in a manufacturing environment
Experience and knowledge identifying rootcause (5 whys/fishbone/8D)
Knowledge and experience ensuring FOD/CFSI controls are effective
Experience of using IT systems (Microsoft Office packages in particular word, excel, PowerPoint)
Knowledge of and practical application of management systems structures
Experience interfacing with, or managing 3rd party stakeholders
