SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) - Full-Time - Tameside College
Start Date: September 2025
Location: Tameside
Pay: Competitive - £425 - £505 per week (depending on qualifications and experience)

Are you passionate about making a difference to the future successes of young people with additional needs? Aspire People is proud to be working in partnership with a forward-thinking and inclusive college in Tameside to recruit a number of dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join their supportive team from September 2025.
This is a full-time position, supporting learners aged 16-19 with a range of additional needs, including:
- Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
- Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
- Hearing Impairment (HI)
- Visual Impairment (VI)
- Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD) such as Dyslexia and Dyspraxia

Who We're Looking For
We welcome applications from:
- Recent graduates looking to start a career in education or SEN
- Individuals with experience supporting children or young adults in roles such as:
* SEN Teaching Assistant
* Youth Mentor
* Social Worker
* Childrens Residential Support Worker
* Tutor
* Learning Support Assistant
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting students with additional needs in both their classes, or small group and 1:1 settings
- Promoting engagement, independence and achievement across the curriculum
- Assisting teaching staff with the delivery of tailored learning strategies
- Working closely with the SEND team to monitor and report on progress
Requirements:
- A genuine interest in supporting learners with special educational needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliability, patience and a proactive approach to learning support
- Any relevant experience or training is highly desirable
- A DBS on the update service (or be willing to procure one)
