The company is committed to environmental sustainability and works with customers to create action plans to reduce emissions.We're looking for full-time, Class 2 Day Driver to join us at our site in Chepstow. This role is temp to perm for the ideal candidate.What you'll do on a typical day:
* Safely operate the delivery vehicle, adhering to business standards and protocols.
* Conduct thorough vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with VOSA regulations.
* Perform white goods deliveries, accompanied by a driver's mate.
* Execute two types of deliveries: home deliveries and kerbside deliveries.
* For home deliveries, transport items to the customer's room of choice, including carrying items to homes that may be several stories high.
* For kerbside deliveries, hand off items directly to individuals on building sites.
* Deliver items such as white goods (e.g., dishwashers, washing machines, fridges), kitchen units, and worktops.
* Handle multidrop deliveries, with the number of stops varying daily.
* Use a handheld scanner and complete all necessary paperwork.
* The presence of a driver's mate depends on the delivery type; assistance is usually available on-site for kerbside deliveries.
* Physical fitness is essential for this role due to the nature of the work.
* Strong communication skills and a positive demeanour are required for direct interaction with customers.
What you need to succeed with our client:
* HGV 2 licence, Digital Tachograph Card, Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
* No more than six penalty points on your licence and no DD, DR, IN or CD endorsements.
* Minimum 6 months Class 2 experience
* A valid CPC and Digital Tacho card.
* Multidrop delivery experience.
* Excellent knowledge of the UK road network.
* A can-do attitude.
