In order to register as an Independent Social Worker with us, you will need:
1. At least 5 years relevant experience.
2. Relevant qualifications, (Degree/certificate/ diploma relevant to the role together with being registered as a social worker with Social Work England .
3. Proof of ID. This can be your Passport or Birth Certificate. If providing a Visa or Residence Permit, this must show your right to work in the UK.
4. Proof of home address x 2. This could be a utility bill or bank statement (dated within the last 3 months). Please note that if you drive we would also request a copy of your photo card driving license (front and reverse) and this can serve as one proof of address). You will need to provide your insurance certificate that confirms that you are covered for business use.
5. Certificate of Public Liability Insurance (to the sum of £1 million).
6. Certificate of Professional Liability Insurance (to the sum of £5 million).
7. Professional reference contact details (covering the last 5 years and including name, position and email address). Please note that we will not initiate contact with any named referees prior to first asking your permission to do so.
8. Proof of current, enhanced DBS certification. This can either be the paper copy of your certificate or online access to your enhanced DBS information if you have subscribed to the automatic update service.
