Electrical Systems Design Engineer
Location: Yateley
Hours: Mon–Fri 08:30–17:15, Fri 08:30–16:00 (5 days in the office)
Contract Length: Minimum 6 months with possible extension
Rate: £45ph - £50ph Outside IR35
The Role
You'll be involved in the full cycle of retro fitting control system design, from developing solutions and producing detailed electrical drawings to specifying, sourcing, and scheduling equipment. Working closely with project engineering colleagues, you'll contribute to delivering innovative automation and control solutions across a variety of projects.
Responsibilities
Designing retro fit control system solutions including PLCs, networks, SCADA/HMI, and telemetry systems
Creating and configuring design documentation, network architecture diagrams, electrical schematics, and general arrangements
Assisting in the production of FDS and SDS specifications
Selecting, identifying, and procuring electrical equipment and instrumentation
Undertaking and managing site surveys around the M25
About You
Electrical Engineering qualification
Experience in the water industry is a must have.
Skilled in electrical design tools such as EPlan or AutoCAD
Knowledge of automation, control systems, and retro fit control panel design/manufacture
Full UK driving licence and happy to travel around the M25
