About the Position
Job Title: Graduate Network Engineer
Job Location: Northern Ireland
Department: Information Technology - GIOS
Reports to: Manager, Global Network Infrastructure
Position Overview
We are looking for a graduate network engineer to be a team member on a geographically distributed team that manages a global corporate-wide network infrastructure. The role will offer exposure to all areas of network technologies incl. Cloud platforms. You will be trained as part of this role and access to certification paths will be given, especially for CISCO and AWS. This role will incl. travel to project locations in and outside off EMEA. This is a fantastic entry-level opportunity for somebody with an interest in upskilling in various network technologies.
The primary roles include:
* Help to configure, install, manage, and monitor network devices through a disciplined change control process
* Work as part of a global team to implement network and security solutions in various locations and regions
* Support Cloud Network Infrastructure and Services within AWS and Azure
Responsibilities
* Deploy, manage, and monitor network devices incl. WIFI, Firewalls and SD-WAN devices
* Maintain networks on Cloud Platforms, incl. AWS and Azure
* Maintain Internet & MPLS Circuits with various providers
* Support/Deploy video conference units
* Perform updates on installed systems
* Create and maintain Standard Operation Procedures (SOP)
* Create and maintain network diagrams and documentation
Level of education: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems Technology, Computer Science, MIS or equivalent experience required.
Experience Level: Graduate
Language Requirement: English with a second language desirable
Skills & Competencies
* A self-starter, someone who is going to harness their natural curiosity to contribute to the process and grow with the company
* Interest and willingness to learn enterprise Network Technology
* Willingness to take ownership of issues and drive them to resolution.
* Ability to work well with people from many different cultures and disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience over geographically dispersed locations.
* Demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet timelines on deliverables
* Fluent English is mandatory, a second language desirable
Certifications / Experience
* Cisco And/Or Juniper experience
* AWS and Microsoft Azure experience desirable
Travel
* Willingness and ability to travel up to 10-25% of the time depending on assigned business initiatives.
