GSL Education are appointing a History Teacher to teach within schools in Sheffield’s S11 district, creating engaging lessons that encourage discussion and deeper understanding.
As a History Teacher, you will bring historical events, people, and themes to life through well-structured teaching. This role allows a History Teacher to support pupils in developing analytical skills while exploring a wide range of historical perspectives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging history lessons that are clear, balanced, and accessible.
* Encourage critical thinking through discussion, source analysis, and debate.
* Support pupils in developing strong written and evaluative skills.
* Maintain a positive, well-managed classroom environment.
* Track pupil progress and maintain accurate assessment records.
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised teaching qualification.
* Strong subject knowledge and experience working as a History Teacher.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* A commitment to inclusive teaching and safeguarding practices.
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
