Responsibilities
* Greet and welcome guests with a warm and friendly attitude, ensuring a positive dining experience from the outset.
* Take accurate food and drink orders, ensuring that all requests are communicated clearly to the kitchen staff.
* Serve food and beverages promptly, adhering to food safety standards throughout the process.
* Upsell menu items and specials to enhance the dining experience and increase sales.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including resetting tables for new guests.
* Assist with food preparation as needed, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation.
* Handle guest inquiries and complaints professionally, striving to resolve issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.
* Collaborate with kitchen staff and fellow team members to ensure smooth service flow during busy periods.
* Manage time effectively to balance multiple tables and tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
Requirements
* Previous restaurant experience is preferred, with a strong understanding of hospitality principles.
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices is essential for maintaining a safe dining environment.
* Basic math skills are necessary for processing orders and handling payments accurately.
* Experience in food preparation or culinary roles is advantageous but not mandatory.
* Excellent time management skills to efficiently serve multiple guests simultaneously.
