We have a great opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to join our growing Business Change team at Greggs and lead our PM team and implement the PMP way of working.

As a Senior Project Manager, you’ll have the opportunity to mentor, support and build a team of project management professionals whilst delivering great outcomes for Greggs. You will become part of a fast-growing, progressive working environment as we continue to grow our business. As a member of the Business Change Team, you’ll be required to both lead on project delivery and also define and lead the team’s continuous improvement strategy.

About the role

* This is a full-time role; flexibility will be considered

What you'll do

Reporting to the Business Change Manager, you will plan and deliver agreed changes to the business safely and within guidelines, and:

* Lead and mentor the IT&BC Project Management team, with line management responsibility
* Spearhead adoption and integration of PMP methodology into the team’s way of working
* Manage and deliver complex, high-impact projects from initiation to closure, aligned with business goals
* Collaborate with senior stakeholders to define project scope, objectives and success criteria
* Establish and maintain governance frameworks for consistent project execution
* Monitor and report on project performance, risks and issues with strategic recommendations
* Drive resource planning and allocation across the PM team
* Champion change management and stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle
* Ensure compliance with internal standards, regulatory requirements and best practices
* Contribute to strategic planning and portfolio management within the IT&BC function

About you

You will have experience leading project teams and building an internal network at Greggs. We are looking for candidates who are:

* Outcome-focused with practical thinking and problem-solving skills
* Engaging in style with clear written, presentation and verbal communication
* Astute to how change can help Greggs achieve its business goals
* Self-learning with a genuine passion for professional development of themselves and their team

The successful candidate must demonstrate:

* Project Management Professional (PMP) qualification and ability to implement it as a way of working
* Experience building and leading a team of project management professionals with direct line management responsibility
* Self-starter with proactive approach to daily tasks and momentum maintenance
* Experience delivering IT projects with practical examples of challenges and successes
* Experience working in agile, product backlog environments and traditional project delivery methodologies
* Ability to influence cross-functionally and to Director level
* Self-motivated, able to work under pressure and use initiative
* Team player with a collaborative mindset and shared goals
