MC Technical Recruitment are partnered with a leading provider of energy from waste in Kidderminster, seeking an Controls & Instrumentation Engineer to join their team. Working on a 40 hour week, 5 days per week, you will lead a team of EC&I Technicians carrying out planned & preventative maintenance across the entire power generation facility.
As the C&I Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Ensuring plant instrumentation & systems are maintained
Planning & executing scheduled maintenance outages
Responding to unscheduled breakdowns
Managing budgets
Delivering upgrades & new installation projects
Working on a days basis to support operations across the site
Any other duties as required
To be considered for this role you should have:
A relevant engineering qualified (HNC/NVQ/Apprenticeship etc.)
Experience in EfW or relevant sector (Biomass / CCGT / energy from waste / Water)
Experience troubleshooting, fault finding & rectifying problems on DCS, SCADA and PLCs
Electrical maintenance experience on motors, switchgear, VSDs, control panels, etc.
Knowledge of all Health, Safety & Environmental legislation & safe systems of work, RAMS, permit to work, etc.
This is a permanent position based near Kidderminster, you will need a full UK driving licence to access the site.
