Job Description
We are in search of Civil Litigation Solicitor to join the firm providing a comprehensive range of legal services to individuals and businesses across the West Midlands and nationwide. What you’ll be doing:
* Managing your own caseload of civil litigation matters;
* Handling disputes including commercial and residential landlord and tenant matters, building disputes, debt recovery, contract disputes, and general litigation;
* Taking client instructions and advising on funding options;
* Dealing with client queries by phone and in person;
* Liaising with clients, stakeholders, and third parties;
* Undertaking pre-action litigation;
* Drafting and preparing proceedings, pleadings, schedules of loss, witness statements, and other court documents;
* Preparing and advising on applications and related documentation;
* Contributing to business development and maintaining the firm’s high professional standards.
Requirements
What we’re looking for:
* UK-qualified Solicitor with 2+ years’ PQE;
* Strong experience in civil litigation;
* Ability to manage cases independently with minimal supervision;
* Good working knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules;
* Strong drafting, advocacy, and negotiation skills;
* Excellent client care, communication, and organisational skills;
* Advocacy and contentious probate experience would be an advantage.
