We are looking for a Temporary Cover Chef/Cook to help within our busy and very popular Café.
Candidates must be able to work alternate weekends and be able to commit to at least two weekday shifts (approximately 7 hours per shift).
Your responsibilities will include the following:
Ensuring that the quality of food is prepared to the highest level, whilst ensuring that the service is timely and presentation is of the highest standards at all times.
Helping maintain a clean and hygienic workplace, meeting all kitchen standards both during and at the end of the day.
When required you will assist in taking customer orders for both food and drink including using our till system
Ideal candidate:
Will have some experience within the catering and hospitality industry working with fresh food, preferably preparing hot and cold meals to order in a busy café/restaurant environment.
Will hold a minimum of a food hygiene level 2 certificate, and be able to demonstrate key perspectives of food handling, including the understanding of allergens and kitchen segregation.
Have a great attention to detail and pride in your work.
Have a 'Can do' attitude and a great customer manner. We place a great emphasis on customer service throughout the Garden Centre and Cafe.
