You would be joining a newly-established business with significant backing to provide technical sales support for C&I solar projects (primarily rooftop) across the UK.
You will be involved in conducting site surveys, assessing electrical systems, and providing design solutions for solar installations. You should be able to evaluate the electrical infrastructure of various sites and propose optimal designs for solar energy systems from a commercial standpoint. This includes specifying equipment like breakers, cables and inverters, and ensuring all technical aspects of the project are feasible and efficient.
Responsibilities
* Perform detailed technical site surveys 3-4 times a week, providing crucial data that influences design solutions.
* Evaluate and optimize electrical systems for solar installations, ensuring feasibility and efficiency from desktop assessments to on-site evaluations.
* Engage directly with customers, offering expert advice and building confidence in the technology and services offered.
* Work closely with an offshore design team to translate site-specific data into actionable and accurate design plans.
* Stay abreast of industry trends and contribute to strategic planning in a fast-evolving market.
Qualifications
* A degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent professional qualification
* prior experience in designing and implementing solar PV systems, particularly at C&I size (generally around 500kW)
* in electrical system assessments, and able to make quick, accurate decisions regarding equipment specifications
* in handling technical sales or consultancy within the renewable energy sector
