Accounts Assistant

Monday to Friday 9:00am - 5:30pm
Salary - £26,000 - £29,000 per annum
We are recruiting for a well-established business based in Shrewsbury. The successful candidate will join a team of Accounts Assistants managing their own portfolio of clients.
You will be responsible for:
Maintain sales ledger.
Monitoring of aged debtors.
Maintain purchase ledger.
Processing of invoices.
Preparing BACS payment.
Bank reconciliations.
Prepare VAT returns.
Prepare monthly management reports.
Cash flow analysis.
Prepare annual accounts information for review.
Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate will be AAT qualified or studying towards qualification but this isnt essential if you have experience working in a similar role. You will ideally have a good understanding of VAT. You will need good communication skills, both written and verbal and be a competent IT user, to include Excel, Word, Outlook etc.
