An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council Library Service as part of a wider Growth, Enterprise and Environment Directorate.
We are currently recruiting to the following vacancies:
Library Assistant x1 (37 hours)
Library Assistant x2 (16 hours)
(Please be aware that 16-hour positions work every Saturday with the balance of the hours worked over weekdays).
We are looking for passionate and enthusiastic people to be part of a newly developed and evolving Library Service and who are interested in providing an innovative and outstanding service to the community.
You will have experience of working within front facing services, ideally within a Libraries or customer service environment, and have some experience of planning, promoting and delivering fun and engaging events and activities. You should be a team player but also self-motivated to fulfil the requirement of helping develop the service further.
A requirement to work flexibly to a rota at different service locations within the borough of Redcar and Cleveland will be part of the role.
To arrange an informal discussion about this post, please contact Chris Di-Niro, Libraries Manager (01642) 444337.
The interview process could consist of a variety of activities including interview, assessment centre, role play and group work.
We offer very attractive terms and conditions of employment, including generous annual leave entitlement, flexible working hours (where appropriate), membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme and access to numerous other salary sacrifice schemes and staff benefits/discounts, including a lease car scheme.
