Job Title: Treasury System Support Analyst (Risk)
Location: London
Salary: £65K + Benefits
Role Purpose:
Award winning UK bank is looking to hire an engaging specialist system support analyst. This role is responsible for the maintenance of the Quality Risk Management System which feeds critical business processes within their clients Finance and Treasury teams, such as interest rate risk management, liquidity regulatory reporting and forecasting, FTP and hedge accounting. Knowledge of this area is important as is SQL experience within a Cloud environment.
The role includes ensuring automated processes run smoothly, undertaking prompt investigation and resolution of any issues, facilitating changes to processes in a controlled and systematic way and engaging with key stakeholders to keep them informed.
This is an excellent opportunity to learn about, or develop your understanding, of the QRM system (widely used in the banking sector), and to help the Treasury team to further enhance and generate efficiencies across a wide range of financial risk management processes, whilst maintaining a strong control environment.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Head of Liquidity Risk and RRP, who will be your line manager and responsible for things like performance review meetings, 1-1s and development conversations, you will be responsible for:
* Supporting the running of Daily & Monthly QRM automated processes involving:
o Failure root cause analysis
o Managing upstream relationships and Stakeholder communication
o Designing / testing / implementation of scripting changes and workflows
o Being first point of contact for adhoc issues encountered by QRM developers and, other stakeholders
o Managing Users & Access Permissions
* Supporting Changes to QRM automated processes involving:
o Provision of regression test data
o Design / documentation / execution of regression testing plans
* Managing the QRM Database involving:
o Version control – ensuring synchronisation across UAT and production environments
o Performing database upgrades
o Historical Data Migration
o Management of archiving processes and file retrieval
* Supporting QRM Infrastructure involving:
o Investigating server outages / root cause analysis
o Monitoring / management of disk space
o Monitoring / restarting services
o Application patching
About You:
* 3-5 years in a Banking / Finance environment working with systems and data
* A self-starting team player who can take ownership, and proactively lead on driving improvement to existing processes
* Ability to read / write SQL and at least one programming language e.g. Python, VB at a basic level
* Basic understanding of the Windows operating system and cloud environments
* Appetite to investigate and resolve system issues e.g. bad data, failures, bad results (root cause analysis)
* Ability and desire to learn many skills / tools / ideas at a basic level
* Experience working with vendor products (but not necessarily specifically QRM)
* An interest, or post-degree training, in Finance / quant modelling (cash flows, yield curves)
* Pedantic attention to detail and methodical approach to executing and maintaining processes
* Demonstrated ability to clearly document processes in Word / Visio / PowerPoint
* Driven to deliver customer’s needs against SLAs to expected standards
Qualifications and Professional Memberships:
* Degree in quantitative subject e.g. Maths, Engineering, Physics, Computer Science: Desirable
