Seven Resourcing are looking for a temporary Senior Early Years Practitioner to work in St Helens. This position is initially for a period of 3 months and is paying £18.00 – £20.00 per hour. The working hours are Monday – Friday from 9am – 5pm.
The role:
To work alongside the Children’s Centre Manager / Day care Manager as a member of the Children’s Centre Early Years Team. To ensure that a high standard of care and education is extended to all children in accordance with the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage / current legislation.
To plan and organise for all key children in line with current legislation within a specified age group in the Children’s Centre Early Years Provision, ensuring that the range of needs of all children are met.
To be responsible for ongoing assessment, training and monitoring of children and families wellbeing, progress and development in line with current legislation, reporting outcomes / data as required to the Children’s Centre Manager / Day care Manager.
To complete home visiting to support families as part of the Children’s Centre/partner agencies improvement plans.
To setup/facilitate Children’s Centre groups/events across the borough and support partner agencies.
To conduct and support community consultations with the Children’s Centres and partner agencies as and when required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Establish good working relationships with children and families;
* Provide consistent support to all children and families, responding appropriately to individual needs;
* To assist with the development and implementation of individual education plans for children with additional needs and/or developmental delay;
* Promote inclusion and acceptance of all children and families;
* To ensure the administration of First Aid, as appropriate, adhering to policies and procedures with recording accidents and incidents;
* To work in line with St Helens Local Safeguarding Children’s Board Policies and Procedures;
* To carry out any personal care for children within nursery/crèche in line with Children’s Centre policy ad procedures.
* To follow the Nursery’s Behaviour Management Policy. To manage children’s behaviour in a consistent, developmentally appropriate manner.
Applicant Requirements:
Qualifications:
NVQ Level 3.
Experience: 1+ year of experience within a similar role.
Compliance: Proof of ability to work and live in the UK. Current DBS and 2 x references.
Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
Hours: 37 hours p/w.
