Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting on behalf of a SEMH (Social, Emotional, Mental, Health) provision in Newcastle, looking for an experienced Youth Worker to join their team to aid with behaviour management in the new academic year. The role will require you to work alongside a class teacher to support with learning and engagement, you may also be expected to work 1:1 with children across multiple year groups (KS3 and 4). If you have a passion for working with children or a background in challenging behaviours. we would love to hear from you! This role is full time, commencing in September with the potential for a permanent role in the longer term. The ideal candidate will be able to: Work effectively as part of a team within the classroom ensuring that all the children are looked after and learning from the taught content. Work 1:1 with children with SEN. Be confident in responding to challenging behaviours Work coherently with teachers in providing support for students. Have a passion for assisting students. Be enthusiastic and proactive in the classroom. Promote and encourage independence and personal development.
