About the role
The role of Counsellor provides adult survivors of Domestic Abuse with individual trauma informed, one to one counselling and therapeutic services.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for a dynamic and compassionate practitioner who brings energy, creativity, and a collaborative spirit to this role. You will have a minimum of two years' post-qualification experience delivering evidence-based, one-to-one psychological interventions across brief, medium, and long-term formats. Working from an integrative perspective, you will draw on approaches such as person-centred, psychodynamic, CBT, feminist, and trauma-informed models to support clients with complex needs, including those affected by domestic abuse. You will be registered with a relevant professional body and have experience working therapeutically with trauma.
This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the future development of our counselling service, work closely with Outreach and Refuge teams, and be part of a supportive, experienced team committed to continuous learning and improving outcomes for survivors.
