Band 4 part‑time Medical Secretary: 36 hours/week Monday – Friday. You must be able to commit to 5 days, Mon‑Fri working. Location: Windmill Road, Windmill Rd, Coventry CV6 7AT (LD & A Community Team).
You will be working within an Admin Team providing an efficient and comprehensive administrative support to Consultants and managers with the Community Learning Disabilities Service. The post holder will be expected to manage Consultants caseload as well as line‑manage band 2 and 3 members of the team.
We are seeking applicants with secretarial or similar experience to provide a comprehensive secretarial service to Community Consultant. Psychiatrists and clinical teams.
Main duties of the job
You will act as the first point of contact for the service, responding to internal and external enquiries, working unsupervised on a day‑to‑day basis with a need to exercise judgement and resolve problems using initiative. You’ll manage a range of duties, including diary management, and organise workloads to meet deadlines.

You will need to be friendly and approachable with excellent communication skills to build working relationships and promote change and efficiency. As well as being a team player, there's a need to work autonomously with a flexible approach and strong work ethic to prioritise, multi‑task, and delegate workloads. Skills and Experience
* Experience of supervising staff is desirable, as is carrying out appraisals, sickness meetings, etc.
* Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office systems is essential, whilst training will be provided for in‑house systems such as Carenotes, Tracking, etc.
* Bright and friendly, with excellent communication skills.
Location
The role is based at Windmill Point, Coventry primarily, but may need to be on a hot desking/home working rota basis depending on service need, for which equipment will be provided (NB a home wi‑fi network is required with a confidential space to work in).
Please note: Due to the service being spread over a number of sites across Coventry and Warwickshire, you may be required to travel to support delivery.
