The standard hours of work are 39 hours per week, Monday – Friday. There will be occasional requirements for weekend overtime and on-call cover, offered on an ad-hoc basis—providing you with flexibility and the chance to earn additional pay while supporting our essential services.

The Assistant Facilities Manager play a key role in supporting the Facilities Manager and leading teams to deliver high standards of service, compliance, and safety, making a real difference every day.
What you will do:
* Support the Facilities Manager in the delivery and strategic management of a range of facilities services, ensuring all contractual, legislative, and operational requirements are met.
* Oversee Team Leaders and their teams, ensuring effective service delivery, compliance, and high standards within a secure environment.
* Lead, motivate, and develop teams to achieve contract KPIs and service level agreements, resolving problems promptly and professionally.
* Build strong working relationships with on-site customers, prison staff, and supply chain partners, ensuring customer requirements are met and satisfaction remains high.
What you will bring:
* Flexible, self-motivated, and resilient approach, with strong problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.
* Recognised and relevant technical or FM qualification (e.g., IOSH Managing Safely) – required.
* Experience in Facilities Management, ideally within a secure or complex environment, including first line management and supply chain management.
* Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements and legislation.
