Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical X-ray Systems Test Engineer to support the design, development, and validation of X-ray industrial imaging systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and documenting tests on both hardware and software components of X-ray systems, ensuring performance, safety, and compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and implement test plans, test cases, and test procedures for X-ray systems.
* Conduct system-level testing of imaging systems including calibration, image quality evaluation, radiation safety, and functional verification.
* Operate X-ray equipment in a lab or field environment, adhering strictly to radiation safety guidelines.
* Collaborate with R&D, hardware, software, and regulatory teams to resolve issues and improve system performance.
* Analyse test data, document results, and generate detailed test reports.
* Develop and maintain automated test tools and scripts as needed.
* Validate compliance with applicable standards.
* Support root cause analysis for product failures and contribute to corrective actions.
* Assist in verification and validation (V&V) activities as part of product development lifecycle.
Qualifications:
Required:
* Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field.
* 2–5 years of experience in system-level testing, preferably with X-ray or other imaging systems.
* Familiarity with X-ray generation and detection principles.
* Understanding of industrial system testing standards.
* Proficiency with data analysis tools.
* Strong documentation and communication skills.
Preferred:
* Experience working in a regulated environment.
* Radiation safety training or certification (e.g., RSO or equivalent).
* Hands-on experience with X-ray detectors, image processing, or image quality metrics.
Working Conditions:
* Test environment with exposure to ionizing radiation under controlled conditions.
* Must be able to wear PPE and follow strict safety protocols.
* Occasional travel may be required for field testing or customer support.
