A respected organisation within the insurance and wider financial services sector is embarking on a transformation programme aimed at improving efficiency, strengthening financial insight and developing a more integrated operating model. As part of this change, they are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to support strategic decision-making through robust financial modelling and analysis. You'll join a collaborative, forward‑thinking environment where your expertise will play a central role in shaping future operational improvements.
Your new role
As the Financial Analyst, you will lead the development and ongoing maintenance of a sophisticated cost‑benefit model to support programme initiatives. You will analyse key financial metrics, identify trends, and provide clear, insightful reporting to senior stakeholders across finance, operations, and programme leadership.
You will act as the central point of contact for financial modelling assumptions, coordinating data inputs from multiple teams and confidently challenging assumptions where necessary. Your work will support business cases, investment appraisals, budgeting and forecasting, all while ensuring compliance with financial management frameworks. This is a highly visible role where your analysis will directly influence decision-making at programme board level.
This is a 12 month FTC, ideally suited to someone immediately available to start their next role.
What you'll need to succeed
CCAB‑qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent
Strong experience in financial modelling within insurance, financial services or another regulated environment
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial and statistical information
Experience in investment appraisal techniques and financial management principles
Advanced Excel and strong IT/system capability
Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to present complex information to non‑financial stakeholders
The ability to influence senior stakeholders and challenge assumptions
