We ensure that the projects and services delivered across GIS, are delivered, maintained, and tested to a high standard.We focus on two main areas of expertise, Test management and Test execution. Test strategy, planning and management ensure projects have a well-structured approach to managing the people, process, tools and artifacts, to deliver to a consistently high standard of quality. The test execution area provides the skills and expertise to test a range of tools and technologies in a variety of ways, to safeguard Computacenter's production operations.What you’ll doThis role is for a Senior Test Manager able to manage a portfolio of projects, budgets, resources, strategy and planning.Delivery Forecast, plan and deliver the test deliverables for all operational changes across a number of GIS functions (Operational change includes but not limited to production fixes, system upgrades, projects and programmes of work)Ensure all operational changes follow the Test Strategy & Execution standards including responsibility for Test Strategy, Test Plan, Test Execution Schedule, Test Management tools, Defect Management and Test Reporting activitiesProvide information on the status of testing (test preparation, test execution progress and defects) for each operational change to enable informed decision makingProvide compliance information to test governance practices against all operational changes, are test checkpoints being met or breached. Ensuring good practice is being followedProvide leadership and technical management for test managers and testers assigned to operational changes Create, maintain and take ownership of risks, issues and service improvement initiativesAttend relevant governance / project meetings to present the position on Testing and influence go / no-go decisionsReport on Lessons Learned and Service Improvement opportunities.Test ResourcingFeed into demand and capacity planning for the areaVerify Project tracker is accurate and reflects test effort.Team Activities Promote the benefits of testing and its impact on speed and quality. Feedback on current practices and industry trends. Support the team commercial and performance managementPerform other duties as agreed with your Line ManagerAll Computacenter's policies and procedures adhered to.What you’ll needThe proven ability to manage business, IT and executive stakeholders, able to provide an accurate view of quality and test progress.A minimum of 5 years Test/Programme/Portfolio Management experienceSAP expertise in Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO) procedures including Cash, AR, AP, Taxes, Treasury,Hands-on experience of FI/CO configuration & testing Knowledge of Prince 2 methodology ISTQB Foundation (CTFL) certificationKnowledge of ISO-IEC-IEEE 29119 and / or TMMiKnowledge of ITIL v3 Service Validation & TestingUse of formal Test Management tools (e.g Quality centre or Spira)Proficiency in working in a matrix organisation, managing test managers, testers and business users to deliver the right outcomeA detailed understanding of the test and development life-cycle, and detailed understand of the different test phases, ability to write test policies, strategies, test plans, test cases. Ability to perform a defect manager roleAble to guide test managers in taking the right approach and govern their activitiesAn understanding of SAP from Sales Orders Creation, Purchase Order Management, Logistics and Finance in order to be able to influence business users.Role title: Test and Portfolio ManagerCountry: UK
