This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading law firm as a Legal Personal Assistant. Our firm offers specialist quality Personal Injury legal advice and is looking for a self-motivated individual to assist in driving forward a resilient and progressive legal practice.
The ideal candidate will have previous legal secretary / personal assistant experience and knowledge of Personal Injury. They will be able to provide full support to fee earners, preparing correspondence and documents, opening and maintaining files on the case management system, and ensuring timely responses to all communication from internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparing mail and enclosures for dispatch
* Proactively dealing with conflicting diary appointments and an ever-changing diary
* Ensuring a timely response to all communication from both internal and external stakeholders
* Attending to clients, primarily on the telephone, and providing such support in a professional and friendly manner
* Producing and amending legal documentation using digital dictation
* Typing extensive reports to private healthcare; trusts and clinics, clinicians and indemnifiers, and general admin duties
* Collating billing information and producing invoices
* Monitoring fee earners' e-mails and drafting responses
* Constantly maintaining a high level of confidentiality
The Candidate
We are looking for someone who can work well as part of a team and on their own initiative. Strong legal and leadership skills, along with excellent organisation and time-management skills, are essential. The ideal candidate will also have professional and effective communication skills, enabling them to communicate effectively with team members and contacts.
