Rate: £15.50 per hour (based on an average of 176 hours per month)
The hourly rate equates to a basic annual salary of £32,736 before overtime, plus an additional company pension contribution of 3%.
Hours exceeding 176 attract overtime remuneration at time and a half.
Bank holiday hours worked attract enhanced pay equivalent to double time.
22 days paid annual leave plus the 8 prescribed bank holidays.
Kennelling equivalent to leave entitlement provided by the company.
Please note the package regarding the provision of a work vehicle and fuel for company business, which removes travel costs for employees.
Place of Work: Operationally deployed within the London Heathrow area. Training will take place at our Training Centre in Farndish, Northamptonshire, with accommodation provided during training.
Role Profile: You will work within a busy cargo environment, screening pallets of cargo to ensure they are free from explosive materials and countersign manifest documentation as part of your search procedure.
You and your dog will be required to screen suitable items and advise cargo handlers of non-suitable items.
You must house a company dog at home (all equipment and welfare needs will be provided).
A vehicle with a fuel card will be provided for work purposes and canine welfare. Handlers must live within a reasonable commute to London Heathrow.
Handlers should be proactive, motivated, and have a good understanding of basic training to maintain their dog’s standards.
Care and Control of 1 x ICTS Explosive Search Dog:
* This includes off-duty care and housing at the handler’s home.
* Provide feeding, grooming, veterinary, and welfare needs in compliance with animal welfare legislation (costs covered by the company).
* Transport dogs and themselves to deployments and training (company vehicle and fuel card provided).
* Supervise and control the dogs in compliance with legislation and BS8517.
* Evaluate and report on dog’s performance.
* Conduct high-profile patrols with dogs.
* Respond to requests for searches and investigation of unattended items.
* Provide specialist advice when appropriate.
* Promote security procedures.
* Follow ICTS health and safety policies, procedures, and risk assessments.
* Adhere to ICTS and client instructions.
Additional Requirements:
* Right to work in the UK.
* Vetting for Counter Terrorism Checks level (CTC).
* Full driving license with no more than 6 points.
