Overview
Insurance Team Leader at Lloyd & Whyte, part of Benefact Group, Taunton. Salary: Circa £40,000.00 (depending on experience). Working hours: 35 hours per week. Duration: Permanent. Location: Taunton.
Context: The Insurance Team Leader will lead the Community Broking team, delivering individual and team retention and income targets, while fulfilling elements of the Insurance Consultant role. The role focuses on culture, service and efficiency in support of the business strategy.
What You'll Do
* Manage and develop individual and team performance through identification of training needs and implementation of coaching and development plans; collaborate with Learning & Development where appropriate.
* Operate within an agreed resource budget; prioritise and allocate resources effectively and recruit suitable people in accordance with current employment legislation.
* Maintain own technical competence with in-depth knowledge of relevant products, market trends and underwriting guidelines to effectively assist with referrals and handle a variety of complex work.
* Support, motivate and communicate relevant information to the team, ensuring a strong service and retention focused culture.
* Provide professional support and advice to customers through review to ensure high levels of service, meet clients’ needs and exceed expectations, maximising cross-sell opportunities at all times.
What You'll Need To Have
* Chartered Insurance Institute Certificate in Insurance or equivalent qualification.
* Dependable leader with understanding of performance management and ability to encourage and work in a trusted environment.
* Confident in communicating, managing relationships and providing an excellent client experience.
* Proficient in creating a results-driven team, focusing on short and long term goals, while empowering individuals.
* Resourceful, organised and deadline driven with good time management and self-motivation.
What Makes You Stand Out
* Chartered Insurance Institute Diploma in Insurance preferred.
