Newly Qualified Social Worker – Children's Court Team

Salary: £36,363 – £40,777 (Grade 6) – 37 hours per week – Permanent full time.

Responsibilities

* Be dedicated to working directly with children and families to ensure that their voices are heard and their needs are met.
* Have knowledge of relevant legislation, key social work models and theories.
* Employ analytical, assessment and negotiation skills.
* Maintain excellent time‑management and IT skills.
* Commit to delivering evidence‑based approaches in collaboration with colleagues.
* Operate passionately within the court arena, working with children and families.
* Show strong interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.
* Collaborate effectively with partners and other agencies.
* Be registered with Social Work England.

Interview Process

Interviews will take place during the week commencing w/c 27th April 2026 and will include a written exercise, a panel interview, and participation from a young person on the panel.
