Status: Full‑time and term‑time only + 3 weeks roles available
Are you experienced in designing, delivering and coordinating creative, mindfulness and wellbeing-focused enrichment activities that enhance student engagement, emotional wellbeing and personal development? Have you worked with young people to develop self‑expression, creativity, resilience and stress management skills, particularly among those who may not traditionally engage in enrichment activities? If so, we would like to hear from you.
Working closely with the Participation Lead, mentoring teams, safeguarding staff and curriculum departments, you will support initiatives that improve student attendance, behaviour, retention and overall engagement within the college community. You will use creative and wellbeing activities as targeted interventions for learners experiencing attendance or behavioural challenges, contributing to reducing internal truancy while supporting students to build confidence, self‑awareness and resilience.
You will contribute to supporting student transition into college, helping new students engage positively from the start of their studies, and actively contribute as part of the college safeguarding team. You will promote a safe, inclusive and supportive environment and contribute to increased student participation, improved engagement, and enhanced wellbeing and resilience across the college.
We have full‑time and term‑time only + 3 weeks roles available. Please state your preference in your supporting statement.
Qualifications
* Relevant qualification in youth work, education, wellbeing willing to work towards one
* Experience working with young people in an education, youth work or support setting
* Understanding of safeguarding and child protection duties and procedures
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate young people.
* Ability to plan, coordinate and evaluate programmes or activities across a multi‑site college with a creative focus to include wellbeing activities.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
Interviews are expected to be held week commencing 22nd of June.
